Baxx – Too Blessed

Yeah, I’m too blessed
Got the money in a seif,
Baby, who’s next?
I keep the blinky at my place
So I got no stress
Run upon me, I’m a smoke you like a cigarette

[the Baxx’ Too Blessed Lyrics continues below]

Yeah, I’m too blessed
Got the money in a seif,
Baby, who’s next?
I keep the blinky at my place
So I got no stress
Run upon me, I’m a smoke you like a cigarette

I move in silence, see if you can find this
If you pull up on me, you’ll hear the sirens
It’s not the silent believes
I keep the blinky on me
I got the blinky on my salary like I’m a deputy
It ain’t nobody getting out of here except for me
[??]
Just to make sure I’m alright

Yeah, I’m too blessed
Got the money in a seif,
Baby, who’s next?
I keep the blinky at my place
So I got no stress
Run upon me, I’m a smoke you like a cigarette
Yeah, I’m too blessed
Got the money in a seif,
Baby, who’s next?
I keep the blinky at my place
So I got no stress
Run upon me, I’m a smoke you like a cigarette

Beku San with Champ T – Law of Attraction

I swear ’em

Cody ain’t flashin’, uhm
Break out these singles, I’m tryina see action
Mama, what’s happenin’? uhm
Turned on me hazy, drivin’ her crazy
Know that I’m packing, trapping, uhmm
The law of Attraction, uhmm
Right on my cocktail, wanted too badly
I left it relly
She bug it, she call it a hotel
She knows me so well
She knows I’m looking for love
In all the wrong places
I called her, I told her I stayed there
She knows I ain’t stayin’

[the Law of Attraction Lyrics continues below]

She knows I ain’t stayed in
Fucking up hotels
I can’t not even go stand her, oh oh
Daisy look at my face
Just told who gon’ be my fucking replacement
I don’t know how many times I said
My heart is vacant
Put out in hand, out of glance
Like what the fuck?
Baby, you want me to shake it
I cannot lock fingers with none
You broad cast like my post tag
[??]
Pull out in e Benz where I came in
That’s why I’m carrying so many singles
Yeah it’s gon hurt to you
You’ve got some dirt too
Do, baby I loved you a while

Cody ain’t flashin’, uhm
Break out these singles, I’m tryina see action
Mama, what’s happenin’? uhm
Turned on me hazy, drivin’ her crazy
Know that I’m packing, trapping, uhmm
The law of Attraction, uhmm
Right on my cocktail, wanted too badly
I left it relly
She bug it, she call it a hotel
She knows me so well
She knows I’m looking for love
In all the wrong places
I called her, I told her I stayed there
You know I ain’t stayin’

I told her to quit at me
[??]
Is she fucking with me? It’s like talking you know the cheap damn
Still I gotta give her A
Ay, put her to sleep
Show her the shitty, she wouldn’t believe
She ain’t fucking her man for the street
Oh, what a shame, I’ll take one for the team
Wrapped up and rapid I sit in a home
Bag full of wonders, she struggles to close
Lift on her waist, I hand her my coat
The way he kept poked and I thought she was cold
Night is still young to get heavy, 80 hundred
And I’m ready again
I set in ,set in
Yeah, I missed your change when I’m stepping in

Cody ain’t flashin’, uhm
Break out these singles, I’m tryina see action
Mama, what’s happenin’? uhm
Turned on me hazy, drivin’ her crazy
Know that I’m packing, trapping, uhmm
The law of Attraction, uhmm
Right on my cocktail, wanted too badly
I left it relly
She bug it, she call it a hotel
She knows me so well
She knows I’m looking for love
In all the wrong places
I called her, I told her I stayed there
She knows I ain’t stayin’

Shaker – Different

[Hip-hop and rap]

Something feels a little different
I can’t get it out of my head
Is it ’cause we didn’t kiss yet?
Is it ’cause you’re not in my bed?
See, I remember when I, I thought I could never love again
But right now, is proving me wrong again

I’m so in love (with you)
With the way that you talk to me,
You seem to know what I like
I can’t get it enough, yeah
You just comfort me all of my suffering from day one
When you come around, time freezes and the pain goes away
I feel it all around
I can’t breathe in,
but I believe enough
You can heal me

I have never been a fan of the [?]
But with you I do the [?] don’t feel uncomfortable
You gon’ make me forget all my enemies
‘Cause a lot of stuff is [?]

Something feels a little different
I can’t get it out of my head
I don’t understand what I’m missin’
Is it ’cause you’re not in my bed?
Oh, you ooh ooh
You got me begging you for more of your time, time
I’m gon behave so I can stay close to you

I’m so in love (with you)
With the way that you talk to me,
You seem to know what I like
I can’t get it enough, yeah
You just comfort me all of my suffering from day one
When you come around, time freezes and the pain goes away
I feel it all around
I can’t breathe in,
but I believe enough
You can heal me.

Alber-K – You & I

feat. Chad Kowal

Try, from the minute I’m awake to find my mind
Cannot seem to shake this trying time
Know that my heart aches for You & I & I
Lie in bed that I have made, I cannot hide
From the bittersweet of your blue eyes
Know that my heart aches for You & I & I

(You you you
Beating heart
You you you
Beating heart
You you you
Can’t see the start)

Die, right when they lock you up inside the night
In a tour locked away so very high
Know that my heart aches for You & I & I

(In these times we can be up
In the dark, we can see the stars, uhh
It comes)

Lie in bed that I have made, I cannot hide
From the bittersweet of your blue eyes
Know that my heart breaks for You & I & I

Sam Hook – Stupid And Lonely Lyrics

Oh, oh, oh
I can fell the rain coming by
I’m trying to run away, but I don’t know how
And you’re still sleeping
But this is different
I might be falling somewhere I wanna be!

Chorus:
So deep in love, cause I’ve learned to love
..that I spent running, no is time to give up!
And all this leads to things that he does for me
Treats me like no other
And I can’t move I don’t think I can run away
I’m so used to leaving when I start falling
But I’m sick of being stupid and lonely,
and lonely, stupid and lonely, hey!

Should I stay alone, or let ’em,
You keep on dealing with this fear that I’m leaving with
Day by day I don’t know what I’m doing
I just hope I do it right
If I can let myself slipping I just smile

Chorus:
For deeper in love, cause I’ve learned to love
And all the time that I spent running, no is time to give up!

And all this leads to things that he does for me
Treats me like no other
And I can’t move I don’t think I can run away
I’m so used to leaving when I start falling
But I’m sick of being stupid and lonely,
And lonely, stupid and lonely, hey!

Don’t know if I can go to a place that I never been before
And every chance he gets he lets me know
That he’s sure that I am the one for him, and he won’t let me fall, no
So why I don’t wanna run away

Chorus:
I’m so used to leaving when I start falling
But I’m sick of being stupid and lonely,
and lonely, stupid and lonely, hey!
I don’t wanna run away
I’m so used of leaving when I start falling
But I’m sick of being stupid and lonely,
and lonely, stupid and lonely, hey!
I don’t wanna run away

Carnifex – Salvation Is Dead Lyrics

Salvation is dead.

This is what I see when I close my eyes.
This is what the end of the world feels like.
Slow motion murder killing everything inside.
This is what the end of the world feels like.
Am I the only one who wants to die young?
In my next life I’ll be everything I never was.
I’ll take pictures so you’ll see me dying.
And say these are just words, you know I’m lying.
Maybe I’m sick or maybe I’m sad.
I promised not to do it, but the razor’s in my hand.

Depression without control.
Pain, I can’t feel it anymore.
If these words can’t be read, know that this is the end.

This is the end.

This is death by a thousand cuts.
This isn’t love, this is getting f*cked.

Depression without control.
Pain, I can’t feel it anymore.

One last thought before my heart stops beating.
This is when you pray, but your god’s not listening.
One last thought then I stop breathing.
Salvation is dead, I wrote my own f*cking ending.

Salvation is dead.

Dead are the days when I dreamed of hope.
Waiting by your grave, all I loved, I loved alone.

One last thought before my heart stops beating.
This is when you pray, but your god’s not listening.
One last thought then I stop breathing.
Salvation is dead, I wrote my own f*cking ending.

Dead are the days when I dreamed of hope.
Waiting by your grave, all I loved, I loved alone.

Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth – They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.) (Remix) Lyrics

Play this song

[Intro: Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth]
(I reminisce, I reminisce)
Yeah, it’s that pure funk, baby
(I reminisce, I reminisce)
Have no fear, the Mecca Don is here
(I reminisce, I reminisce)
C.L. Smooth
I reminisce, I reminisce, uh
Down to make you body move
(I reminisce, I reminisce)
On the reminisce tip
Yeah (I reminisce, I reminisce)
(I reminisce, I reminisce)
(I rеminisce, I reminisce)
Chеck this

[Verse 1: C.L. Smooth, Pete Rock]
I reminisce for a spell, or shall I say think back (Yeah)
Twenty-two years ago to keep it on track (Uh-huh)
The birth of a child on the 8th of October (It’s like that)
A toast, but my granddaddy came sober (Crazy phat)
Countin’ all the fingers and the toes
Now I suppose you hope the little black boy grows (Yeah)
Huh, eighteen years younger than my mama
But I rarely got beatings ’cause the girl loved drama (Yeah)
In single parenthood, there I stood
By the time she was twenty-one, had another one (Yeah)
This one’s a girl (What?), let’s name her Pam
Same father as the first, but you don’t give a damn (Alright)
Irresponsible, plain not thinking (Yeah)
Papa said chill but the brother keep winking (Uh-huh)
Still he won’t down you or tear out your hide (Right)
On your side while the baby-maker slide (Slide)
But mama got wise to the game (Uh)
The youngest of five kids, hon’, here it is (Yeah)
After ten years without no spouse (Yeah)
Mama’s gettin’ married and a house (Word?)
Listen, positive over negative for the women and master (Uh-huh)
Mother Queen’s rising a chapter (Yeah)
Déjà vu, tell you what I’m gonna do (Do it)
When they reminisce over you, my God

[Bridge 1: Pete Rock]
My God
(“Pete Rock hit me”)
It’s so
(“Pete Rock hit me”)
Yeah, so lovely
(“Pete Rock hit me”)
That’s how we like to do it in the ’90s
(“Pete Rock hit me”)
Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth comin’ at ya

[Verse 2: C.L. Smooth]
One fact when I date back I recall a man off the family tree
My right hand Poppa Doc I see (Woo)
Took me from a boy to a man so I always had a father
When my biological didn’t bother (Yeah)
Taking care of this, so who am I to bicker? (Bicker)
Not a bad ticker but I’m clocking pop’s liver (Yeah)
But you can never say that his life is through (Uh-huh)
Five kids at twenty-one believe he got a right to (That’s right)
Here we go while I check the scene
With the Portuguese Lover at the age of fourteen (Tell ’em)
The same age, front page, no fuss
But I bet you all your dough they live longer than us (That’s right)
Never been senile, that’s where you’re wrong (Uh-huh)
But give the man a taste and he’s going, going, gone (Gone)
Noddin’ off, sleep to a jazz tune
I can hear his head banging on the wall in the next room
I get the pillow, hope I don’t wake him (Yeah)
For this man to cuss, hear it all in verbatim (Uh-huh)
Telling me how to raise my boy unless he’s taking over
I said, “Pop maybe when you’re older” (Older)
We laughed all night about the hookers at the party (Ha)
My old man standing, yelling “Good God Almighty” (Uh-huh)
Use your condom, take sips of the brew (That’s right)
When they reminisce over you, check it out

[Bridge 2: Pete Rock]
For real, baby
(“Pete Rock hit me”)
Like that
We for real
(“Pete Rock hit me”)
Comin’ at ya
(“Pete Rock hit me”)
In ’92
Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth
(“Pete Rock hit me”)
Yeah, come on, hit me
(“‘Nough respect due”)

[Verse 3: C.L. Smooth, Pete Rock]
I reminisce so you never forget this
The days of way-back, so many bear witness the fitness (Yeah)
Take the first letter out of each word in this joint
Listen close as I prove my point
T to the R the O-Y, how did you and I meet?
In front of Big Lou’s, fighting in the street
But only you saw what took many time to see (That’s right)
I dedicate this to you for believing in me
Rain or shine, yes, in any weather (Yeah)
My Grandmom Pam holds the family together (Uh-huh)
My Uncle Doc’s the greatest, better yet, delay this
If we’re talking about a car, Uncle Sterling got the latest (Yeah)
Strive to be live ’cause I got no choice
And run my own business like my Aunt Joyce (Yeah)
Pete Rock hit me, ‘nough respect due (Uh-huh)
When they reminisce over you, five-thousand

[Outro: Pete Rock]
(“Pete Rock hit me”)
Listen, just listen to the funky song
(“Pete Rock hit me”)
As I rock on, and that’s word is bond
(“Pete Rock hit me”)
I’m not playin’
Everybody
(“Pete Rock hit me”)
Just coolin’
This song we dedicate
(“Pete Rock hit me”)
To the one and only
Never be another
He was my brother
(“Pete Rock hit me”)
Trouble T-Roy
It’s like that y’all
(“Pete Rock hit me”)
And you don’t stop
(“Pete Rock hit me”)
Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth for ’92
And we out
Later
Just listen, just listen
(“‘Nough respect due”)
Just listen, just listen
Just listen, just listen
(“‘Nough respect due”)
Just listen, just listen
(“Reminisce”)
Peace
(“Reminisce”) (“Reminisce”) (“Reminisce”)

Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth – Straighten It Out (Remix) Lyrics

Play this song

[Intro: Pete Rock]
Uh, yeah (Straighten it out)
Uh-huh, we got (Straighten it out)
Pete Rock and (Straighten it out)
C.L. Smooth (Straighten it out)
And we’re here to tell you to (Straighten it out)
And that’s a fact, baby (Straighten it out)
Now you’re gonna kick some lyrics (Straighten it out)
Like this, come on

[Verse 1: C.L. Smooth, Pete Rock]
Walk the fine chalk line and put the needle to the grind (Yeah)
Representin’ one kind, seeing eye for the blind (Uh)
Witness what I carry on bears a further purpose (Uh-huh)
From how we do slam a few, then you want to purchase (Yеah)
A dialogue of funk, you love to pop it in your trunk
I win, more disciplinеd than a Shaolin monk (Woo)
Pete Rock and C.L., well set to spark it (Uh-huh)
The powerful target to destroy the black market (Yeah)
But when you say black, listen, I don’t know, you lose me (What?)
I guess another beggar can’t afford to be choosey
I come to the maximum, artist on a major label
Any duplication of this one is fatal
On 1-2-5, I gotta hit ya live (Yeah)
Beat your ass with my tape, any race or shape (Uh-huh)
‘Cause if they got mine, they got yours, too (What?)
But together here’s what we gotta do

[Chorus: Pete Rock]
Tell ’em (Straighten it out)
Ah yeah (Straighten it out)
(Say what?) (Straighten it out)
That’s right, y’all (Straighten it out)
(Say what?) You got to (Straighten it out)
Everybody must (Straighten it out)
(Say what?) (Straighten it out)
Yeah (Straighten it out)
It’s like that (Say what?)

[Verse 2: C.L. Smooth, Pete Rock]
The funk legacy I pass on, clearancy for high rates
Every time we sample all the past time greats (Yeah)
Stick it in the SP-1200 beat, I make a loop
Lovely, way to troop in a Lexus coupe (Uh-huh)
Just a little bit, set to make a whole lot happen
The musical inside my rappin’ (Yeah)
Written by the C.L., produced by the P.R
And add in any credit that you heard thus far (Uh-huh)
I start from scratch, ’cause the bassline’s critical (Yeah)
Better than the original who first made it (Uh-huh)
Now you want to sue me, but fans never boo me (Yeah)
Believe I know the times, we been broke, too, G (That’s right)
Here’s another sample clear, see ya, get the hell outta here
Like a bootleg, you’re over for the year (Woo)
You’ll only get the credit where the credit is due
So, listen, what I shout out is true

[Chorus: Pete Rock]
Yeah (Straighten it out)
You gots to tell ’em to (Straighten it out)
(Say what?) (Straighten it out)
You got to tell ’em to (Straighten it out)
(Say what?) (Straighten it out)
That’s right (Straighten it out)
Come on (Say what?) (Straighten it out)
That’s right (Straighten it out)
Straighten it out (Say what?)

[Verse 3: C.L. Smooth, Pete Rock]
Like the strands of lamb’s wool, I’m thinkin’ that’s said
Here to go to the head and count the locks on a dred (Yeah)
I and I’d ‘mit to verify, goin’ to multiply
A theory many thought a conspiracy
Here to let you know that it applies to all of us
You’re no exceptions to the rule and that’s a plus (Ow)
‘Cause who Jah bless, let no one curse
Straighten out what I be about, reckon above the clout
And let the management work for me
Because I don’t need the unnecessary hostility
A proper marketing plan so we can gobble up the dough
Straighten it out, so everybody know
The kids are official with the purpose of a smooth surface
Kickin’ the service one time to make ’em nervous
We’re finally here and very long overdue
Pete Rock, this one’s for the crew

[Chorus: Pete Rock]
You gotta (Straighten it out)
Everybody must (Straighten it out)
(Say what?) You gotta (Straighten it out)
Everybody must (Straighten it out)
(Say what?) (Straighten it out)
You got to (Straighten it out)
Come on (Say what?) (Straighten it out)
All Black people must (Straighten it out)
(Say what?)

[Outro: Pete Rock]
(Straighten it out)
Everybody must (Straighten it out)
The YG’s, they must (Straighten it out)
The Hilltop, they must (Straighten it out)
The whole money-earnin’ must (Straighten it out)
Everybody must (Straighten it out)
Come on
Ah yeah (Straighten it out)
Ah yeah (Straighten it out)
Ah yeah (Straighten it out)
Ah yeah (Straighten it out)
Ah yeah (Straighten it out)
Ah yeah (Straighten it out)
Ah yeah (Straighten it out)
Ah yeah (Straighten it out)
Ah yeah (Straighten it out)

Negative XP – Pink Cadillac Lyrics

Play this song

Who been loving you since I been gone
A long tall man with a black coat on
Good-for-nothing-baby, you’ve been doing me wrong
Who been loving you since I been gone
Who been loving you since I been gone

Who’s been playing around with you
A real cool cat with eyes of blue
Trifling baby why can’t you being true
Who’s been fooling around with you
Who’s been fooling around with you

Somebody saw you at the break a day
Dining and a-dancing in the cabaret
He was long and tall, he had plenty of cash
He had a big Cadillac and a black moustache
He held your hand and he sang you a song
Who been loving you since I been gone
Who been loving you since I been gone

[Guitar Solo]

Somebody saw you at the break a day
Dining and a-dancing in the cabaret
He was long and tall, he had plenty of cash
He had a big Cadillac and a black moustache
He held your hand and he sang you a song
Who been loving you since I been gone
Who been loving you since I been gone

Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth – Ghettos of the Mind (A Capella) Lyrics

Play this song

[Intro: Pete Rock]
Uh-huh
Once again
Back to attack
C.L. Smooth
Talkin’ ’bout the ghetto
Yeah
Ghettos of the mind
Let me hear what ya got, come on

[Verse 1: C.L. Smooth, Pete Rock]
I catch a body at a party, sort of herbal with the verbal (Uh)
Look above and see the vultures fly around in a circle (Woo, yeah)
Baggin’ while you’re lollygaggin’, raggin’, toe-taggin’ (What?)
Assassin with the millimeter roars of a dragon (Yeah)
Here stood the black hood, thirsty for the ends (Uh-huh)
And for the love of money, kind of funny, new friends (Pss)
Public housing, a thousand in a tent (Ah)
So I’m forced to sell hell just to pay the rent (Uh-huh)
Killin’ my own people (What?), I put ’em out of order (Uh-huh)
Just like the liquor store scene on every corner (Ah)
I’m tryin’ but the kids keep cryin’ and the bullets keep flyin’ (Pow pow)
Look, a boy, he’s on the curb just dyin’
Finally the cops come, dumb to the slum (Uh)
Pull out a gun and arrest the wrong one
Wax all the Puerto Ricans and Blacks
So they can never relax (Woo)
I dwell, might as well learn the facts
Pete Rock and C.L. can radio a shack up (Uh-huh)
Sparkin’ off and have ’em all callin’ for backup (Say what?)
“Watch another crime and you’re gonna do time” (Yeah)
All this you’ll find in the ghettos of the mind

[Bridge: Pete Rock]
Ain’t that somethin’? Come on
La la, ah yeah, la la, come on
It’s like that, uh, la la, yeah
Come on, la la

[Verse 2: C.L. Smooth, Pete Rock]
Listen to cats and rough rats war under the window
When the ghetto forts flurry (Ah), never was a Tom and Jerry (Uh-huh)
Livin’ ain’t cheap, my survival is deep
In this part of town where the city never sleep
A Barney Miller rollin’, you can bet the car’s stolen
Or static with your BM, only when you see them (What?)
Speakin’ on your baby’s mom, a best for the drama
Always tryna make a movie, little stark-ravin’ looney (Ha ha)
Stressin’ it, but you know the ghetto keep ya busy (Yeah)
A place that when I die it would never even miss me (Miss you)
Crack vials in the aisles as one pimp smiles
Dope piles workin’ hookers by the miles (That’s right)
But still my pop’s got three jobs to stable (Yeah)
The family household and food on the table (Woo)
So as we pray for all our souls to keep (Yeah)
Somebody’s on the project roof, ready to leap (Woo)
I wanna stop the pain, Lord, a bad situation (Uh-huh)
But backwards wisdom I can’t afford to give ’em (Yeah)
Self savior is much braver with the conscious behavior
Designed in the ghettos of the mind

[Bridge: Pete Rock]
Ain’t that somethin’? Come on, la la
Yeah, come on, la la
Come on, come on, come on, la la
Yeah, uh, la la
The funky break
Uh, yeah, the funky break
Kick the flow
Come on

[Verse 3: C.L. Smooth, Pete Rock]
I could never look forward to an early retirement (Uh)
But still I maintain in a hostile environment (Yeah)
Hustle in the concrete jungle for loot
My parents hated blood money so they gave me the boot (Pss)
Take a risk ’cause the peer pressure has the edge (Word?)
It was a blessin’ when I saw my life dangle on the ledge (Uh)
The streets coulda swallowed me whole
But coma’s all gone when I got to see my healthy son born (Uh)
And now I bring him home to the ghetto
Only to make a stronger fellow (Woo)
Maybe do some good for the neighborhood (Yeah)
It’s hard playing hero livin’ less than a zero (Uh-huh)
Raging Bull like DeNiro, the modern day pharoah (Yeah)
A concentration camp with the Section 8
Welfare checks given at a monthly rate (Pss, ah)
Apply for the get high or just plain lazy (Uh)
Many steady collect right around the fifth baby (Uh-huh)
The hawk is out but the niggas never pack it (Whoa)
A hundred-dollar sneakers with the skimpy-ass jacket (Pss)
When people are deaf, dumb, and blind they get left behind (Left behind)
Imagine in the ghettos of the mind

[Outro: Pete Rock]
Ghettos of the mind, la la
Come on, la la
Yeah, uh, la la
That’s right, come on, la la
With the ghetto, la la
Talkin’ from the ghetto, la la, yeah
With the ghetto, la la
Come on, yeah, la la

The Marleys Ghetto Youths International Album “Set Up Shop Volume 4” Now Out

There’s a song for every mood, and reggae is one of the genres that you can count on for this comfort. In the latest compilation album, which was released by Ghetto Youths International, this is exactly what their focus was. The music label is owned by the sons of reggae legend Bob Marley.

The project, which has 21-tracks, is called “Set Up Shop Volume 4 “and was released on the last day of 2020, on December 31. The compilation album includes some of the heavy-hitters in reggae.

One exciting feature on the album is Kabaka Pyramid and Damian “Jr Gong” Marley’s “Kontraband Part 2”. It will be available for the first time on streaming platforms. The album also features Kabaka Pyramid’s mixtape “Immaculate.” Also included is his collaboration with Capleton and Yami Bolo. His track with Yami Bolo was produced by Damian Marley.

Marley also lends his voice to the album on another track called “Life is a Circle,” which is a new one from multiple Grammy-winner. This effort from Marley is aimed at being both a prayer and a message.

At one point, he sings, “Life is a circle, that goes round and round, mines not a circus, and I’m not a clown. Some people with us, some wear their frown. Still I know my purpose is to share what we found. Some people insist to wear others down, but all will bear witness unto who wears the crown.”

The star-studded line-up on the album includes Third World, Stephen Marley, Kabaka Pyramid, Jo Mersa Marley, Julian Marley, Yohan Marley, Christopher Ellis, Capleton and many more. Marley used Instagram to share the family’s latest effort. He said, “Greetings Family!!! I been mostly quiet of recently observing 2020… still I couldn’t let this year go by without releasing a song to mark this historical time. The song is called “Life Is A Circle” and is featured on our @ghettoyouthsintl compilation album “Set Up Shop Volume 4.” He added, “Have a Blessed New Year and a prosperous 2021. REACH HOME SAFE!!! Nuff Luv!!! #LifeIsACircle #SetUpShop #gyintl #LINKINBIO.”

The plaintiff Brinx Billions, a New York rapper name Jawara Headley, who has been a close friend of Nicki Minaj for many years, is now suing the superstar rapper for $200 million in damages for allegedly stealing his song “Rich Sex”, and not giving proper credit, according to TMZ.

Brinx claims that he played the song for Nicki and told her it would be a “smash hit.” The song was eventually featured on her 2018 album ‘Queen’ and also featured vocals from Brinx during the intro and outro of the song.

In the song, Brinx can be heard “full blown, run rich, Brinx,” at the beginning of the song. He now claims that he is the sole author/ creator/ composer/ writer/ producer of “Rich Sex” which also features bars from Lil Wayne. However, He says he isn’t credited as the sole author/creator. He also says that his friend Nicki stole some of his lyrics- “it ain’t such a thing as broke and handsome,” being one example. Interestingly enough, Jawara Headley is listed and credited as a writer on the song per ASCAP.

The lawsuit also names Universal Music Group, Lil Wayne’s Young Money, and Cash Money as parties to the claim and wants $200million in damages. Recently, news broke that Lil Wayne sold his masters to Universal Music Group for $100million, and it might also include Nicki’s masters, which would have ‘Rich Sex’ as part of the catalog, hence making Universal Music Group a party to the action.

Brinx, on the other hand, is more than a friend to Nicki. He is reportedly signed to Young Money Entertainment and is Nicki’s second official artist. The rapper who has 46k followers claims on his social media to not be a rapper but “I’m who most rappers claim 2 B.” He has been in the rap game since 2006 but hasn’t received the mainstream success his counterpart Nicki has.

Meanwhile, the Barbs are up and at it! Many took to Brinx’s socials to air their grievance with the Jamaica, Queens rapper. One said, “you’re BROKE. Stop flexing money that you clearly do NOT have.” Another said “flop,” while another asked, “you mad doggie?” referencing one of the lines from Rich Sex, which Nicki asked at the end of the song.

Another person said, “you wake tf up & realize you not winning this case, it’s gonna end faster than the 3 words you said in the beginning of rich sex.”

Others taunted the rapper that music he posted on Instagram was “trash.”

DaBaby Calls Himself And Lil Wayne “Best Rappers Alive”

Are DaBaby and Lil Wayne the Best Rappers Alive?

Fans of DaBaby are familiar with his extreme confidence. He’s definitely never been one to hide all that he’s achieved, so far, like his stockpile of plaques, including Billboard chart placements as well as his Grammy Award nominations. He’s done all of this in a relatively short career. His latest claims though may be his most outlandish. In the studio over the weekend, while working with Lil Wayne, he claimed that he and Weezy are the best rappers in the game to date.

Using Instagram to share his thoughts, he said, “Best rappers alive” alongside pictures of himself and Wayne at Wayne’s Miami luxe studio.

Lil Wayne first joined DaBaby in 2020 when the pair jumped on Jack Harlow’s “WHATS POPPIN” remix. Their efforts were rewarded with a No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Lil Wayne has always expressed his interest in helping the younger generation learn more about the genre. He’s been very vocal about sharing his knowledge as well. Recently he shared those thoughts during an interview with Brett Berish for Bumbu on Friday, December 18, 2020.

He explained why he feels drawn to help out. “Before I stepped into it, they had music everyone looked a certain way and everyone did a certain thing.” He added: “Look at me, now look at music. They all look like me. I love it.”

He went on to say that while he admired that the younger rappers were trying to carve out their own niche they had little understanding of how he became successful and what it truly takes.

“None of them trying to be like me. They’re gonna get some tattoos in they face, a grill, they might put Lil on the front of their names or Baby after it, but they don’t sound nothing like me, they haven’t been through what I’ve been through or they’re not from where I’m from.”

DaBaby has also been trying to do his part to help out others in the genre, especially those from North Carolina. He has a number of rappers on his Billion Dollar Baby Entertainment roster. Whether or not he and Lil Wayne are the greatest in the game is still highly debatable.

Playboi Carti Scores His First Billboard No. 1 with “Whole Lotta Red”

Playboi Carti’s new album, Whole Lotta Red, debut at the top of the chart.

Playboi Carti has defied critics of his latest work, Whole Lotta Red, and scored his first No. 1 Billboard 200 album. Billboard revealed that the rapper’s highly-anticipated album soared to the top of the charts as it sold more than 100,000 total album-equivalent units in its opening week.

Most of the album’s sales came from streaming. It earned an impressive 90,000 streaming equivalent album units, which were mostly due to 126 million on-demand streams of the album’s songs. Playboi Carti can claim another accolade because his album was released on Christmas Day, and he now officially holds the title of being the first artist to have a No. 1 album in 2021.

Billboard made the announcement via Twitter. They posted, “Billboard 200: #1(new)
@playboicarti, Whole Lotta Red 100,000 [126.43 million streams].”

Many of the early projections for “Whole Lotta Red” indicated that it would debut at No. 1 even though many fans seemed to be at odds with the prediction. Carti bested his last Billboard showing, which was in 2018. His platinum-selling “Die Lit” came in at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart then. That project sold 61,000 equivalent album units in its first week. In 2017 he got to No. 12 on the chart with his self-titled debut mixtape.

As has become the norm with Playboi Carti, there were several controversial issues surrounding the release of his latest work. While fans practically begged for the album’s release, ardent supporter Mario Judah released his own version of “Whole Lotta Red.” Then just after the release of the official version, Carti’s ex and his child’s mother, Iggy Azalea, took to social media to blast the Atlanta rapper for not being there for his child. Carti responded to the claims by posting photos of himself and his son in the studio together on social media last Sunday, December 27.
