Oli Harper x Andrea Brown – Inside Of Me

[Deep music]

I gave you my all, you took it for granted
Threw in all my chips, now I’m empty handed

Weight on my shoulder,
It’s like I can’t breathe
I can’t push without ease
I’m thorn down, can’t you see?
Like the strain that won’t break,
I’m in every mistake,
No, you can’t rescue me,
There’s no setting me free

Push me down and break my heart
When you know it’s tearing me apart
Look me in my eyes and see
The darkness takes place inside of me
Inside of me, ah aah aah

Inside of me, ah aah aah
Inside of me, ah aah aah
Inside of me, ah aah aah

Why do I do it? All of these pieces?
It’s coldness in my heart, it’s steady increasing

Weight on my shoulder,
It’s like I can’t breathe
I can’t push without ease
I’m thorn down, can’t you see?
Like the strain that won’t break,
I’m in every mistake,
No, you can’t rescue me,
There’s no setting me free

Push me down and break my heart
When you know it’s tearing me apart
Look me in my eyes and see
The darkness takes place inside of me
Inside of me, ah aah aah

Inside of me, ah aah aah
Inside of me, ah aah aah
Inside of me, ah aah aah

Adon x Emilia Sonate – Fallin’ apart

Remember when I said it ain’t that sure
I live it all cause it’s all I know
To stay up, gonna stay up when you fall, yeah
I’ll leave the keys on the floor
Hoping that you walk through that door
We go way back, we go way back to before.

We got our lies and we don’t care
I fall apart when you’re not there
We li-li-lie and we know it, and we know it
This is ain’t the wrong till your next boy
Know what you said and you text though
We li-li-lie, we li-li-lie and we know it

Axium – Uncovered Lyrics

She’s grabbing hold of my eyes
Always in focus
But she doesn’t know us
Her presence is felt in my bones
And her voice is present
And I feel it’s hell-sent

So lay me down with the discontent
Redundancy that I represent
I try too hard to escape it all
That’s why I’m praying for the fall

Her image is burning my eyes
With everything I say
To myself through the day

I can’t find my comfort anymore
I’m losing dignity
It’s all that’s left of me

So lay me down with the discontent
Redundancy that I represent
I try too hard to escape it all
That’s why I’m praying for the fall

So lay me down with the discontent
Redundancy that I represent
I try too hard to escape it all
That’s why I’m praying for the fall

Anthony Green – Bad Reputation Lyrics

I know I’ve got a bad reputation
and it isn’t just talk talk talk
I know I couldn’t give you anything that you haven’t got
But suddenly I’m standing here

Seven years disappeared below my feet
I’m breaking down

Do you want me now?
Do you want me now?

I’m breaking down

Cuentos Borgeanos – Desconcertado Lyrics

Un final definitivo
me trae recuerdos de ayer
Circular es el sentido
mas siento que no puedo ver.
?Nacera un hombre azul?
y en su pecho traera
un cielo a recorrer.
Amanecer, un nuevo sol
me trae la respuesta.
La sombra viva del ayer
me hace sentir que cuesta
Pensar que todo es del azar
Vivir desconcertado
Los ojos negros del adios
Me traen una vision
Que no es real
Que necesito perder.
Olvidar no es la manera

Mas noble de decir adios
No es por mal, pero cualquiera
No es parte del ojo de Dios
?Quieren darme un final?
Pues lo siento
Deben esperar
Porque aun estoy vivo
Amanecer, un nuevo sol
Me trae la respuesta.
La sombra viva del ayer
Me hace sentir que cuesta
Pensar que todo es del azar
Vivir desconcertado
Los ojos negros del adios
Me traen una vision
Que no es real
Que necesito perder.

Swizz Beatz Confirms DMX Posthumous “Exodus” Album Drops May 28

DMX posthumous album is coming May 28.

Hip-Hop fans were heartened to learn that before his unfortunate death on April 9, DMX had been putting the final touches on his highly anticipated eighth studio album. While many remained unsure about the status of the album, X’s team, along with Swizz Beatz, have confirmed that the rapper did finish it and announced earlier today, May 10, that the album will be dropped later this month.

The album titled Exodus, also the name of one of DMX‘s sons, is expected to drop on May 28. “5/28 EXODUS IS COMING [X] THE ALBUM,” Swizz posted on Instagram, alongside the album’s accompanying black-and-white cover art shot by Jonathan Mannion.

In a press release about the upcoming album, Swizz showered praises on the fallen rapper making special mention of the number of lives that he touched during his lifetime.

“My brother X was one of the most pure and rare souls I’ve ever met,” he said. Swizz, who also executive produced the album, added: “He lived his life dedicated to his family and music. Most of all, he was generous with his giving and loved his fans beyond measure. This album, X couldn’t wait for his fans all around the world to hear and show just how much he valued each and every single person that has supported him unconditionally.”

DMX went back to the Def Jam label in 2019. The last time he recorded anything with them was over 17 years ago, in 2003, when he released Grand Champ. During an interview with Drink Champs earlier this year, he confirmed features with Griselda and the late Pop Smoke. Industry rumors indicate that some other features could include Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Usher, and Alicia Keys.

Over the weekend, it was revealed that his eight-year-old daughter, Sonovah Hillman Jr., might also land a spot or two on the album. She captured the hearts of many when she put her own spin on her father’s “Slippin’” at his celebration of life memorial.

Snoop Dogg also revealed while speaking on Hot 97 recently that in April, DMX chose to stay in Los Angeles following their summer 2020 Verzuz battle to finish the album.

“He actually did his whole album at my studio when we finished Verzuz,” he explained. “He never left, he stayed in L.A. and rented my studio out and did his whole album. I cooked for them, I laid it out for them. I made it feel like mi casa es su casa. That was the best moment, that he felt comfortable enough to do his album at my spot and he didn’t leave until it was done,” he added.

DMX’s 8-year-old Daughter To Be Featured On “Exodus” Album

Fans around the world are still coming to terms with the fact that DMX is no longer with us.

Many remember the icon’s life as a source of inspiration that has permeated generations of artists. One of the highlights of his “Celebration of Life” in April was when his daughter took the mic and delivered her own version of “Slippin”. Her rendition put a smile on otherwise gloomy faces. What made her performance even more touching was her opening words. “My dad taught me to be strong. I learned so much from him, so I dedicate this song to him,” she said at the time.

Those heartfelt lyrics performed by 8-year-old Sonovah Hillman Jr. has led to a boost in her fledgling rap career as she’s been asked to contribute two collaborations on her late father’s upcoming posthumous album.

Hillman shared this and more during a recent interview with NBC’s Dallas Fort Worth affiliate. She is as hard-working and enterprising as her dad as she revealed during the interview that she is currently working on 20 songs and has already released two of them. One is called “I Hate Zoom” and dropped in January. That track focuses on her deep distaste for virtual school, which has become the popular mode of delivery during the ongoing pandemic. It has a little over 6000 views on YouTube.

The other came out just last weekend, May 8, and is called “TikTok Kid”. That track also has an accompanying video. She’s already receiving love from fans as the video has passed 12,000 views on YouTube since its release.

DMX has always been about family, but when he was interviewed about features on his upcoming album, he mentioned collaborations with Pop Smoke, Lil Wayne, Griselda, and Bono. However, he never mentioned that his daughter might feature. She also shares another remarkable trait with her dad in that she writes all of her own lyrics. “Whatever is on my mind, I just write about it,” Hillman said during the interview.

Her mother, Sonovah Hillman, also shared that she’s noticed a lot of similarities between her daughter and DMX. She even thinks that they look a lot like each other. “Sometimes she looks just like him depending on the angle you catch her. She has a lot of his traits as far as an artist. Writing is easy for her,” she added. The young rapper also shared that she has very similar aspirations to her father. “Rapping makes me feel powerful. Someday I want to own a mansion with 15 bedrooms,” she continued.

Hillman Jr. also recalled one of her favorite moments with her dad before he passed away, which was a beach trip in Miami in February. “It was fun. I just miss him and I’m kind of sad we won’t have more memories,” Hillman said.

She also shared what her favorite track from her dad was. “My favourite song of his is ‘Party Up (Up in Here).’ He was happy when I told him I wanted to rap,” she added.

According to DMX’s Twitter account, the official release date of his posthumous album Exodus is set for May 28. It will be his eighth studio album. It’s expected to be on streaming platforms on the date mentioned above. It will be executive produced by Swizz Beatz and will be released on Def Jam records.

In a press release, Swizz talked about DMX’s impact, saying:

“My brother X was one of the most pure and rare souls I’ve ever met. He lived his life dedicated to his family and music. Most of all, he was generous with his giving and loved his fans beyond measure. This album, X couldn’t wait for his fans all around the world to hear and show just how much he valued each and every single person that has supported him unconditionally.”

It seems his legacy will live on.

JetsonMade Explains Why He Turned Down Rihanna For J. Cole

Producer JetsonMade explains why he opted to work with J. Cole instead of Rihanna.

Many of music’s biggest producers would have possibly sold a kidney to secure a collaboration with Rihanna, but not JetsonMade. The young beatmaker
recently revealed that when the bad gal summoned him, he decided to pass on the opportunity, opting to work with J. Cole instead.

JetsonMade was chatting it up on a recent interview when he made the big reveal.

“I was really supposed to go work with Rihanna. I swear to god, I skipped out on that shit to go work with Cole,” he said before showing love to both parties. “Shout out to Rihanna though, I hope we can get in there. It was more personal. Cole reached out to me personally, I was at this man’s house, like, f**k that, I’m going with this n***a.”

Jetson has been making extensive strides in his career over the last couple of years through his work with DaBaby, having produced the rapper’s breakout single “Suge.” His credits now include the likes of “What’s Poppin,” which featured Jack Harlow, as well as work from Roddy Ricch, Playboi Carti, and Youngboy Never Broke Again.

J. Cole is considered one of the industry’s greatest song writers, and with the release of his latest album only days away, the spotlight is firmly on the “Workout” rapper. Jetson has also been cast into the limelight for his work on Cole’s recent release “Lion King On Ice.”

100% true story lol one of the toughest decisions we had to make. But shoutout to @KingOfQueenz and @JColeNC, go stream Lion King On Ice rn! pic.twitter.com/t7PblSjF8C

— TP (@OGxTP) May 9, 2021

Many have applauded the 23-year-old producers for his recent accomplishment. However, they felt that a RiRi collab would have been more impactful to his career and could possibly help with breaking into the Pop realm. Still, others have hinted that while this means that Rihanna is working on new music and could be releasing her R9 project, it doesn’t guarantee that his production would be selected from the many others on her chopping block.

Lapattra Jacobs Speak On Relationship With NBA YoungBoy

Lapattra Jacobs, one of NBA YoungBoy‘s baby mothers, has disclosed that she would have still been in a relationship with the rapper if she had not been attacked and stabbed by Iyanna Mayweather last year.

Jacobs was hospitalized with severe stab wounds inflicted by Mayweather, who at the time was NBA YoungBoy‘s girlfriend. The knife attack happened in April of last year at YoungBoy’s Houston home, where Mayweather caught the young rapper and Jacobs, who was reportedly pregnant at the time with his child.

An altercation ensued that left Jacobs nursing wounds and Yaya looking to face some time in prison. After the incident, Mayweather was released on $30,000 bail and was ordered to stay at least 1,000 feet from Jacobs.

A few months after the incident, Lapattra took to Instagram Live to show her wounds, noting that she could not fully extend her arm that was sitting in a cast from her elbow. She also later removed the cast to show her followers that her hand lacked mobility.

On Monday, May 10, Jacobs went live on Instagram, seemingly healed from the wounds that were inflicted but still somewhat scarred from the incident. During her Live, she discussed her relationship with YoungBoy.

“He’s still young, so he ain’t ready to settle down. In my mind, I know cause I’m older than him so I know a young person really not ready to settle down,” she said.

However, she added that even though she was aware that he was for the streets at the time, she would have still been “low key” with the rapper if she was not attacked.

Yaya, who is the daughter of the famous boxer Floyd Mayweather, had been in a tumultuous relationship with YoungBoy since the end of 2018. She welcomed their son Kentrell Jr. in January this year and is still showing loyalty to her baby daddy. Reports are that the father of seven should be welcoming his eight with his ‘former’ girlfriend, Jazlyn Mychelle. The two reportedly rekindled during the rapper’s time in jail. YoungBoy is currently in police custody after he was arrested in March on felony charges, following a wild pursuit in Los Angeles. He is currently awaiting trial.

Rihanna & Nicki Minaj Starts Following Each Other On IG Again, Are They Working On New Music?

Nicki Minaj and Rihanna are following each other again as the Queen rapper prepares to make her return to music.

On Monday, Nicki Minaj sent her fans into a frenzy when she posted for the first time in a while, seemingly announcing her highly anticipated return to music. The Young Money rapper who took a hiatus from the music after starting her family has kept fans wondering when she would be back ever since she announced her retirement in 2019. While she has been on a few features, we are yet to see the rapper officially re-emerge with a solo single.

Barbz may have prompted Nicki’s impromptu return after they got the #LLCParty hashtag trending on Twitter last night, leading the fan-favorite track by Minaj to become her best performing single of 2021 overnight. “LLC,” which was released as part of the rapper’s 2018 Queen album, entered the Top 30 on the US iTunes chart, which is a new peak.

Nicki Minaj took to Instagram on Monday (May 10) to post a seductive photo of herself covering her lady parts with cushions while sitting on an office desk. In the caption, the rapper wrote “FRIDAY,” leading fans to believe that the rapper has something in store for them. Along with the pleasant surprise of Nicki’s return, it turns out the rapper is also following Rihanna again and vice versa.

The Queen Radio star and Fenty Beauty boss have not been following each other on Instagram for the last couple of years. Fans suspect that the Bajan superstar unfollowed the rapper around the time she was feuding with Remy Ma, but all that seems to be a thing of the past now that they have both hit that follow button again.

Fans are speculating that the Caribbean superstars reuniting on the gram may be a sign that they’re about to drop a new song together. Given Rihanna’s similar musical hiatus, no one is quite bold enough to get their hopes up about that. However, one can dream.

Rygin King Says New Album Will Be His Testimony, Drops First Single “Inna Mi Mind”

Rygin King is preparing to give his testimony in his new album.

Last year summer, dancehall deejay Rygin King was hospitalized following a gun attack. The popular deejay was shot and injured after his convoy stopped following an unrelated accident in Westmoreland. Prayers immediately went up for his recovery, and there were some rumors that he would have been left paralyzed following the incident. He’s dispelled all those negative rumors and has even announced an upcoming album.

He’s been back on the scene a few months now and is satisfying his fan’s call for new music. Recently he released “Inna Mi Mind,” which he has said shows that his dominance of the genre is still there. “Mi ah still ‘Dancehall’s Baddest Ting’, mi just a ketch back the flame. We no gone nowhere, ah just one king, any other king, a muss a napkin,” he told the STAR.

The ever-confident 25-year-old deejay, whose real name is Matthew Smith, explained that the track helped him to get back in musical shape. “With this single, mi ah remind myself of the process, mi a remind myself that it all started inna mi mind before I could make it a reality. So when mi sit down and ‘meds’ by myself more time, mi realise seh mi did have to conceive it first inna mi mind, that’s where it begins, with an energy and a dream,” he said.

He added that the song acted as a message to himself “and the youths out there that no matter the fight, you have to keep trying.” He also revealed that he has intentions of shooting a video to accompany the track.

He’s lucky to be alive following the incident, which according to reports, happened in Bethel Town when one of the cars was involved in a collision. Eyewitnesses said that while the entourage was attending to the vehicle, a car drove up, and a gunman shot at the bystanders, which included Rygin King. He was shot three times. He’s definitely used the experience to grow stronger.

“God give me strength and life. Once we have life, we can work to make everything else better. My album is going to be big. Mi have a testimony to tell the world. Mi just did a regain mi confidence; dem shot a lot of energy outta me,” he continued.

The “Ruption” singer has been making waves since he returned to the scene and has already gotten over five million views on YouTube for his single “No Emotion.” He’s also enjoyed success with a few others, including “Mission,” and “Dancehall Baddest Ting.”

Bob Marley 40 Years After Death Personal Doctor Suspects Foul Play

Today (May 11th) marks 40 years since Bob Marley’s death, and to this day, his legacy still lives on in the hearts of his many fans across the globe. His impact was so great that, to date, he still has one of the best-selling albums of all time. His greatest hits compilation, Legend, which was released in 1984, has sold over 11 million copies in the U.S. and has spent nearly 300 weeks on the Billboard 200.

Bob Marley died of acral lentiginous melanoma on May 11, 1981, after being diagnosed in 1977. At the time of his death and for many years after, many fans believed that he was purposefully injected with cancer. It’s a theory that many fervent fans still believe. A recent interview that his personal physician, Dr. Carlton “Pee Wee” Fraser, had with Jamaica Observer may lend some credence to their theory.

He believes that Bob Marley may have been injected with the disease a little while after the assassination attempt at Hope Road. In fact, he added that he believed he is aware of the method of delivery. Most people believe that Marley’s woes started after a football injury but Dr Fraser believes differently. He believes that Marley’s troubles all started with the gift of a pair of sneakers.

“After the attempt to murder him at Hope Road when he was shot, Bob retreated to the hills. A few days later he was given a pair of sneakers. When he tried it on a needle went into his big toe and it was so hard to get it out. He then went on tour and when he was in London the toe got worse and it was said they would have to amputate the leg at the hip,” he said. When this was told to Bob Marley, he insisted that he speak with his own doctor. Dr. Fraser then began researching different techniques that would not require amputation.

“We were in New York because I was not licensed to work in the US and had to work through another doctor. After my presentation, they then suggested that it be amputated below the knee. I did not agree and so the decision was taken to remove the malignant area from the toe,” he explained. After that, the doctor sought out a specialist to verify that the procedure had been a success.

“Her exact words were: ‘Fantastic, you have a clear margin of five millimetres, and in some cases seven millimetres around the tumour, so there is no evidence of spread.’ So we had cured Bob as the cancer in his toe had not spread, and everything was fine,” Fraser recalled.

That’s just one of the reasons that he believes the reggae icon might have been deliberately infected. He shared another instance later in Marley’s life that he thinks led to his final diagnosis. He explained that after the procedure, Bob Marley went back on tour but began to have very strange maladies like nose bleeds and headaches. This was when he was told that cancer from his toe had spread throughout his body. He said he was in disbelief at this point because “we had done all the technical scans and X-rays to make sure there was no evidence of cancer in his toe. According to him, “they definitely know what they did.”

He believes the second instance of Marley being infected came during his tour to promote the Uprising album.

“The guy who handled the lighting for all Bob’s shows said during that tour he was not allowed to work on the lighting. He said for that whole time Bob complained about how hot the lights were and the fact that they burned his skin,” he revealed. Marley pressed on, probably driven by his ideals and his belief that he had a message to spread. That was until September 1980, when just before playing football in Central Park, he collapsed. After Fraser went To New York and various tests were conducted, Marley was told that he had two weeks to live.

That’s when Fraser suggested that the reggae star fly to West Germany to be part of some groundbreaking treatment from Dr. Josef Issels. Fraser discovered Dr. Issels after he saw a newspaper advertisement about his innovative ways of treating cancer. He made contact, and the German physician agreed to take Marley on as a patient, where he stayed for seven months. Things looked good from that point, for a little while. Fraser admitted he was hopeful as Marley seemed on the road to recovery.

“Within weeks of Dr Issels’ treatment Bob was showing signs of recovery. Through the electromagnetic machines the size of the tumours in his brain and lungs were reducing. Bob was improving, his body was responding fantastic to it,” he said.

Fraser explained that before the treatment, the “Three Little Birds” singer could hardly walk but while in Germany, he was doing so well that he wanted to get up and play football. “When we were going up the stairs at first I would go up two steps and then wait for Bob to catch up. Within three weeks he was running up the steps. The nosebleeds and headaches had stopped,” he added.

As time passed, an open laparotomy showed that the tumor was now just a lining in his stomach walls. To Fraser, this meant that the therapy was reversing his cancer. He believed that he was definitely on the road to recovery. This is one of the reasons why he was so surprised to learn that Marley was going home. He wanted him to stay longer until the tumor had completely shrunk. He added, though, that he was not privy to the final meetings with Dr. Issels. It’s a decision that he still grapples with.

“I would not have made him leave Germany until there was no more evidence of cancer, which was definitely disappearing. I would say another month or so of the treatment would have done it as all the complex symptomology associated with the tumours had disappeared. I wanted him to stay there longer so that you would have to use a microscope to find even the scar tissue,” Fraser said.

Just before Marley’s death, Fraser left West Germany for London to deal with some issues there. Following his departure just seven days later, the jarring news came to him that Marley had died while en route to Jamaica at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital in Miami, Florida.

“I was dismantled. The news hit me hard. I was in London dealing with Twelve Tribes [of Israel] matters and a brother came and told me Bob had died. How is that? He was doing so well in Germany. Even if he was to die, it should not been so quickly. It was crazy. I could not believe,” Fraser shared with the Jamaica Observer.

The two had become close friends after meeting in 1975. Fraser is a past student of Wolmer’s Boys’ School and studied at Howard University in Washington DC. He met Marley after he joined the Twelve Tribes of Israel and became the organization’s doctor.

He would return to Jamaica to attend Marley’s funeral on May 21, 1981, at the National Arena in St Andrew. He would join over 30,000 people as they mourned the son of the soil who spread a message of peace and love while flying the Jamaican and Rastafarian colors high.

Cristina Dona – Goccia Lyrics

GOCCIA (Cristina Donà, Manuel Agnelli)

Specchio di pioggia e asfalto
ci naviga dentro il cielo
grigio bianco
acqua e cielo

ma tu sei una goccia che non cade
e ritarda la mia guarigione
come ultima frase da terminare

Piccole navi col motore spento
aspettano un segno dal faro
così lontano

specchio di pioggia e asfalto
oggi il mio viso è più leggero
senza pianto
solo acqua e cielo

ma tu sei una goccia che non cade
e rimanda la mia guarigione
come un rumore sospeso che
non esplode

ancora navi col motore spento
aspettano un segno dal faro
così lontano
